Kuartango

Kuartango is a rural valley of 84 square kilometres located in the southwest of the Basque Country. It involves 20 villages, some of them very small. Until recently the only economic activity was the primary sector. Nowadays new horizons are opening.

Kuartango Lab

Kuartango Lab is a centre for innovation and entrepreneurship located in the building of an old spa in Kuartango. It is the best example of how a problem can turn into an opportunity. It was a medicinal water centre until the beginning of the 20th century and prevented companies and institutions from settling in the building, so it was necessary to start something "different". Kuartango Lab started its operation in 2021, as a business incubator with co-working, meeting rooms and a theatre: spaces full of advantages to favour the settlement of companies and associations and promote the development of innovative projects.
